Statement: Ref: Consumer Association of Ireland.
MCD notes today ( Monday 21st August ) the publication by the Consumer Association of Ireland summarising the 95 complaints they received regarding the recent Barbra Streisand concert.
Following the concert at Castletown House on Saturday 14th July, the National Consumer Agency welcomed the establishment of a specialist committee chaired by former Garda Commisioner Pat Byrne to undertake a thorough examination of complaints received by concert goers at that event.
The committee’s work is ongoing and has involved detailed briefings from parties who were involved in the set up and running of the concert to a broad cross section of the complainants. The committee plan to publish their report week commencing 10th September 2007.
