Mumford & Sons Announce Pillow Queens & Somebody’s Child Will Join The War On Drugs As Special Guests For Huge Summer Show At Dublin’s Marlay Park
Band Return To Marlay Park On 5th July For First Time Since 2017
+ New Album “Prizefighter” out now
The band originally headlined the 40,000 capacity location back in 2017 as part of the Longitude Festival, but will now return to headline their own show on 5th July, with very special guests The War on Drugs.
The Dublin show is the latest addition to an already heady Summer of live activity that includes outdoor shows in Groningen, Rome, Berlin, and a big hometown show at London’s Hyde Park as part of the BST series.
Mumford & Sons new album, Prizefighter, is out now. It’s the band’s sixth studio album.
The record was co-written and co-produced alongside The National’s Aaron Dessner at his Long Pond Studio in upstate New York.

Co-produced and co-written with The National’s Aaron Dessner who the band previously worked with on their third record Wilder Mind, Prizefighter captures the band at their most open and instinctive. In just ten days, they’d written more than an album’s worth of songs, and a collection that feels both deeply personal, instinctive and unguardedly communal. Marcus Mumford’s lyrics grapple with resilience and striving, singing with a mix of confidence and urgency.
