EMBARKING ON TOUR IN THE UK AND ACROSS EUROPE LATER THIS YEAR
Australian singer-songwriter Ruel returns with new track “Hate Myself” available now via Giant Music – listen HERE. The track is accompanied by an official music video — watch HERE. The pop icon has also just announced a headline UK and EU Tour, spanning dates across October.
Following the massive release of “Don’t Say That”, “Hate Myself” marks a triumphant second single ahead of the next chapter in his double-album project, following Kicking My Feet (Part One), the forthcoming Part Two arrives as Kicking My Feet & Screaming. The new song gives fans a glimpse into a new, uncharted side of Ruel while still tapping into the vulnerability that he’s known for. At its core, the track explores what it feels like to be stuck in a toxic, self-destructive relationship, knowing it’s hurting you, but not being able to walk away.
Ruel recalls how the track came about - I wrote this one on the day I met Kenny and Jackson, and when you meet someone for the first time, you sort of try to focus on getting to know one another. After 5-6 hours in the studio, we had basically nothing but then Kenny threw a bit of a hail Mary, the three of us mixed ideas around, and next thing we knew we had the whole song in about 30 mins. Since then, every session I’ve had with Kenny has flowed so well and the two of us wrote a good chunk of the album Part 2 together!
Co-written by industry moguls Kenny Beats (Dominic Fike, Vince Staples, Remi Wolf) and Jackson Morgan, (Justin Bieber, Macklemore), “Hate Myself” captures what it feels like to love someone who is bad for you and choosing to stay until you start resenting yourself more than them.
Ruel just wrapped the second-leg of his 2026 North American Kicking My Feet Tour, where he was supported by UK-born singer-songwriter Arthur Hill, emerging soul-pop singer Chelsea Jordan and rising San-Francisco native Mercer Henderson. Earlier this year, he also toured in South America on the Lollapalooza festival circuit in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, and the Estero Picnic Festival in Colombia.
To celebrate his double-album era, the pop sensation has also announced he’ll be hitting the road again this fall for the Kicking & Screaming Tour, heading across the UK and Europe from October 1, 2026 through October 30, 2026, with support from singer-songwriter Sadie Jean. Full tour routing is below.
Kicking & Screaming got off to a strong start last month with ‘Don’t Say That,’ and will bring fans 10 new tracks as Ruel builds on his Kicking My Feet journey. About Ruel
Since making his debut in 2017 at the age of 14, Australian pop prodigy Ruel has amassed over 3 billion global streams, headlined several sold-out world tours, collected multiple platinum and gold singles, and earned a string of “the youngest artist to ever…” achievements. With platinum records and awards from the RIAA, ARIA and MTV, as well as taking home First Prize at the 2025 Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition, his resume is nothing short of astonishing.
Now 23, Ruel’s global career, audience, and list of industry accolades continue to grow at an unprecedented rate, propelling him into the position of one of the most influential artists of his generation.
Following the major success of four EPs and his mammoth 2023 debut album 4TH WALL, the October 2025 release of his sophomore album Kicking My Feet turned the music industry on its head. The project features an all-star cast of collaborators, including Julian Bunetta (Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims), John Ryan (Harry Styles, Shawn Mendes), Kenny Beats (Dominic Fike, Vince Staples), M-Phazes (Eminem, Noah Cyrus), Dan Wilson (Taylor Swift, Adele), and Leroy Clampit (Justin Bieber, Finneas). These heavyweight creatives add to his already stand-out selection of past releases alongside contemporaries like Omar Apollo, Grent Perez, Denzel Curry, Lime Cordiale, and SG Lewis.
Hot on the heels of his highly anticipated second album, Ruel kicked off 2026 with a whirlwind Kicking My Feet North American tour. Over two epic months, the tour touched down in new territories and revisited fan-favorite cities. Midway through the run, Ruel headed south to perform at the LATAM Lollapalooza festivals, squeezing in fan-frenzied pop-up events along the way.
There is no better example of this creative harmony than when Ruel steps onto the stage. Armed with a mesmerizing presence akin to the likes of Mick Jagger and Bruno Mars, millions of adoring fans, and a freshly announced double-album era underway, Ruel’s cult status is officially certified.
